Historic Renovation requires a strong knowledge of innovative and cutting edge construction techniques, as well as a deep familiarity with how things were built a century or more in the past.

At Peter Nelson Construction, we have an unfair advantage.  In many historic renovations, we built the original building.  And we pioneered those construction techniques used a century ago.

There is no room for a "learning curve" where historic renovation is concerned.   Not only can a less experienced builder compromise the historical value of the building, they can compromise the safety of those working on the building, as well.  Peter Nelson Construction takes the time to understand the original construction, the new usefulness of the completed renovation, and the need to balance the historical accuracy and integrity of the original structure with the latest breakthroughs in construction engineering.
